CMT – Cold Metal Transfer
Outstanding results on all materials with an extremely stable arc.
With the PCS (Pulse Controlled Spray Arc) characteristic, the welding experts from Fronius have succeeded in directly combining the low-spatter pulsed arc with the spray arc, without an intermediate arc. Where necessary, the welding process starts with reduced power in the pulsed range. Depending on the sheet thickness, the operating point either remains in this area or is followed by an aggressive spray arc. Short-circuit-free welding is guaranteed for the entire wire speed range from 1.5 to 22 m/min.
The PCS characteristics ensure that the welding process can be easily controlled while simultaneously providing a high deposition rate, deep and effective penetration, less heat input and minimal spatter. Welding times are shortened, in some cases fewer weld layers are required, and the cost of reworking is dramatically reduced. Spatter, extra surface finishing and straightening largely become things of the past.
Outstanding results on all materials with an extremely stable arc.
Targeted heat input, extremely high gap-bridging ability and an up to 60% higher deposition rate.
Creates detachable or permanent joints between metal and plastic.
