Photovoltaic System Delivering Clean Energy for Generations

When Wanda Martins decided to install a photovoltaic system on the roof of her home in Maringa, Brazil, in 2016, she was an absolute trailblazer in her region. She decided to generate her own clean energy with the power of the sun and thus make her contribution to environmental protection.

Anyone who thinks that Ms Martins is only reducing her carbon footprint with the photovoltaic system is mistaken. Because the PV system also significantly reduces the family’s energy costs. Ninety percent of the solar power generated is used in the household, so the photovoltaic system covers its costs very quickly. Ms Martins’ investment has paid off after just five years.

A sustainable investment for children and grandchildren

“Investing in a photovoltaic system was a challenge for me. After all, it is an innovative technology that I had never heard of before. However, after researching and understanding that this technology was introduced in European countries like Germany and France years ago, I felt confident that I wanted to become a pioneer in my region,” says Wanda Martins.

» By choosing the right equipment and installation, I know that the photovoltaic system will produce our electricity for many years to come, and that even my children and grandchildren will enjoy its benefits. «

By installing this system, Ms Martins is now making a major contribution to 100% renewable energy. And not only for herself, but for her children and grandchildren too.

“By choosing the right equipment and installation, I know that the photovoltaic system will produce our electricity for many years to come, and that even my children and grandchildren will enjoy its benefits,” says Ms Martins.

The PV system has paid for itself within 5 years

But how did Ms Martins come across the idea of a photovoltaic system? It all started with the high energy costs that she faced on a monthly basis. Ms Martins became quickly convinced that solar energy was the best solution through which to reduce her fixed costs. The installation company Plato Energia installed the PV system on the roof of the house. It generates around 16,500 kWh per year, and therefore covers most of the household’s energy bills.

The self-generated energy is used to operate the electrical devices, such as electrical appliances, lighting and an air conditioning system. In this way, the family achieves a self-consumption rate of 90% and the photovoltaic system pays for itself very quickly. The PV system has recuperated its costs within just 5 years, after which Ms Martins has started to earn money from it.

Quality from Austria

Because Ms Martins uses high quality products with a long service life for her photovoltaic system, she has also made a sound investment for the future.

“An investment like this pays for itself within the first 5 years. If it is also well installed and consists of high-quality components, the system will have a useful life of at least 25 years. Ms Martins’ system will pay for itself within five years, after which she can continue to earn from it for another 20 years,” explains Diego Martins Rosa, managing director of Plato Energia.
